Scan doesn’t show trainer

Hey all,

Bought myself an i-genius T2020 a couple of years ago. Haven’t used it in ages, want to start using it again.

However - somehow I can’t get it to pair with the iPad Pro. I have a Wahoo ANT+ dongle, which I know for a fact, used to work back when I bought it. I also have a Cable ANT to Bluetooth bridge. In the Tacx app the i-genius never shows up. But also the Cable controller app can’t find it when I start a scan.

Is there something I’m missing to make the device pair? Been fighting with it for hours now, I guess I must be missing something vital or the device is broken.

Which application? TTA or TCA?
T2020 i-Genius and T2000 i-Genius mulitplayer are NOT smart trainers and not able to connect over Bluetooth or ANT+ FE-C, meaning it can only connect to TTS 3, TTS 4 and the Tacx Cycling app.

Although recently there was a message from the user that he was able to connect the old Vortex to TTA:

A few more thoughts on this matter.
1) Recently there was a problem with the support of the Wahoo ANT+ key in iOS 11.2.1.
2) Try to enter Genius into the connection mode (turning the wheel backwards):

3) Try to repeat the procedure of firmware updates by using this utility:
