Firmware update on T2790 bushido for smart

Post by Parky25 » Fri Jul 15, 2016 5:37 am

Can I update the firmware on Bushido for table ? Utility does not recognise the device and I only see bushido smart T2780 supported. I want to connect to Zwift but struggling.

T2790 is not a Smart trainer and is therefore not ready for Zwift. Upgrading the firmware will not make it to a smart trainer and will not help you in any way.

Edit: According to Zwift it should be possible to use a bushido for tablet after a firmware update.

I have the same problem. Bushido for Tablet isn't recognised by Tacx Utility App even though the following post states there is an update for the T2790 that will allow it to be controlled by Zwift.

You will need to connect your trainer to the Tacx Utility app to install the required firmware update to use Zwift. If your trainer is not seen/cannot connect to the Tacx Utility app, then you need to submit a ticket for the problem by sending an email to support@tacx.com.

Hello!

I just purchased a new (heavily discounted) T2790, with the hopes of updating the firmware and then zwift! But no luck. The Tacx utility App doesn't recognize the T2790, and the online documentation only lists the utility app as supporting the T2780. Seems as though they pulled the support!

Oh well. the T2790 does communicate very well with the Tacx Training (and Cycling) App, and is controllable (changes resistance based on slope). I will just have to rely on my speed and cadence sensors to get onto zwift. It just won't be controllable by zwift. Not ideal, but at the price that I got my unit, i will not be complaining!

And you remember to cycle while trying to connect to the utility app?
