Is my Cosmos dead?

Post by stoobydale » Fri Apr 02, 2010 12:34 pm

I don't seem to have control any more of the power values. When I increase the power setting nothing happens to the resistance. When I try to calibrate, the wheel does not spin up after a pedal kick, and just times out. When I initially start, the system is real choppy and then just goes too easy.
Checked motor resistance, each phase 0.1ohms don't have a megger to check insulation. Checked cadence sensor with multimeter, ok. Checked for loose wires, ok. Updated to latest software and checked wheel tyre interface tension, all ok so just leaves the powerpack. Sounds expensive. Is there any tests that can be carried out on the powerpack/motorbrake?

The Cosmos was indeed dead. New Powerback unit required.
