Transferring TTS4 and videos to new computer

Post by frankhertz » Mon Dec 03, 2018 3:06 pm

Hello,
Can someone direct me to a method by which I can transfer my TTS4 and the installed videos to a new PC. I believe I can download the latest TTS4 on the new computer, deactivate and transfer the license to the new computer but how do I transfer all the installed videos on the old computer to the new one? Do I have to install each one in turn or is there a way to copy the required folders to the new computer?
Thanks for any assistance,
Harry

I'm about to do the same (sold my old rig to someone I know), and did the same when I moved to the current computer it is (was) running on. As far as I know, the videos are registered in the license structure, so you have to reinstall them, but you don't need to de-install them from the old machine.

Yes, there is such a way. Copy the contents of this folder to the new computer:
C:\ProgramData\Tacx\TrainerSoftware\TTS4\Trainings\RLV
Then place avi files wherever you want and specify the path to them from the TTS4.

Thanks for all the help so far. I have installed the TTS4 on the new computer and activated the license. However I cannot find the folder called "C:\ProgramData\Tacx\TrainerSoftware\TTS4\Trainings\" on the windows 10 computer in order to copy over the avi files from the windows 7 machine. There does not seem to a folder called "C:\ProgramData" at all. To what location on the new computer should I copy the files?

Thanks again,
Harry

Offhand, I can't recall if this folder is hidden by default in Windows 10. Check to see if you have enabled showing hidden files, folders, and drives.

I found it. I had to click show hidden files and folders.

Sorry to a bother you all again but Alex wrote "Then place avi files wherever you want and specify the path to them from the TTS4". How do you specify the path to the videos from TTS. I have them on my drive D since the C drive is a smallish solid state drive.
Thanks again

I figured it out. You press enough buttons and sometimes things work out.
