The yellow light from the head unit (Imagic) is on but not the green light. I have unloaded and loaded the program several times and still nothing.
Any assistance woudl be greatly appreciated. When I start the program it asksme about the Bushido and I say no and can't do anything further.
Have you tried rerunning the driver installer program, which is located on the disc with instructions.
Yes I have run the setup.bat as adminsitrator and it tells me that the file is incorrect.

That doesn't make a lot of sense. Do you have 32-bit or 64-bit W7. I think there is a separate installer for each.

64 bit W7, do I open the 64 file and load those drivers?

Has anyone tried creating a partition and installing XP32 on the partition? Or does that still not work?

Fortius and win 7

Post by principiante » Sat Jan 15, 2011 7:02 pm

My pc has expired after several years of good work and training with Fortius and XP. New computers only have Win 7. I read in the forum that Fprtius does not work with Win 7. Is still true?
How can i use my fortius trainer?
Thanks in advance

Further question on Fortius and Windows 7.
If Fortius software will not work with Win 7, 2 choice are possible: install XP or use TTS2. Am i right?
And if i buy and install the TTS2 with my old Fortius sofware 2.0.4, could i reuse the catalyst files i made or do i have to write them again? And what about real videos?
Thanks

You can use Fortius if you have 32Bit Windows 7.
TTS2 and TTS3 work with 64Bit Windows 7.
I think you can install Windows XP in a VMWare virtual machine running on a 64-Bit Windows box and use the 32 bit drivers and Direct X just like you are now.

I was in the same position as you are I installed TTS3. When I tried to install the old RLVs, it installed Fortius(non-working) and installed the video. You an then Import the videos into TTS3 and they worked just fine.

I think you are asking for a lot of hassle by doing this and I am not sure the drivers will work. There are other parts of the Fortius VR program that are specific to a 32-bit system and I am not sure they will work.

If you want to run the older Fortius VR software, it is probably a lot simpler to buy 32-bit Windows 7, which runs all versions of TTS as well.

Microsofts virtual PC for professional and ultimate will run the USB drivers, but believe it or not, it will not run DirectX. VMWare will run the drivers and DirectX.

Understand that TTS can be used on Win 7 64 bit but not sure about the USB Controller interface compatability. I have a Imagic Flow T 1925.30 purchased in Dec 2010 and have been using this with Win XP but think my PC might be a little below spec when setting up a server in Multiplayer so might need to purchase a new PC. I spoke to Bike 24 (Tacx Retailer) and they said I would have issues with the Controller using Win 7 64 bit machine, but I am not sure if this is correct. I would have thought Win 7 64 bit was the way to go.
I Magic flow upgrade
TT3.13
TT4.16
Win 7 64 bit
Intel i3-550 Dual Core
8GB Ram
1 GB Nvidia Geforce GT430
1TB Hd

Windows 7 64-bit Pro/Ultimate:
Download Window's virtual PC and XP Mode will create a 32-bit XP Pro virtual PC. The T1902 drivers will work in it after attaching them to the virtual machine. Fortius does not work due to issues with DirectX, but TTS works fine.
VMWare is far more difficult to setup on Windows 7. The install has failed and I've had to manually clean the registry a couple of times. In my opinion, TTS is far better than Fortius, therefore VMWare wasn't worth the effort to just run Fortius.

You can install any operating system by creating multiple partitions using Easeus Partition Master Software and Boot-US Boot Manager. They are free programs and the instructions for use are here http://pcmichiana.com/category/how-to-v ... ot-series/
I've tried it and it works.
This is not a virtual dual boot option but is a way to have two completely different operating systems on one harddrive in which to boot from.

So will the T1925.30 work?

Post by ernie_kay » Mon Jun 27, 2011 10:21 pm

My Win 7 64 is on a Boot Camp partition on a Mac so running as natively as it can. I have a Flow trainer which I upgraded to use with an iMagic headunit running Fortius.

It is my understanding from this forum that that head-unit will not work with this OS no matter which software I use.

The TACX website is really unclear to me about which head-unit I will need.

As smbward said, Bike 24 are indeed selling the T1925.30 with TTS 3 (still). Will this work with Win 7 64?

Thanks and I apologise if this is a dumb question.

The T1925.30 is both 32 & 64bit compatible Im using at this very moment with a emulator as I type to you on a 64bit laptop. if there are i-magic users out there using bootcamp then the upgrade kit should work also as its the same hardware with a different paint job. Your flow is in effect a i-magic with a stand alone head unit;

Phil

Great news. So, just to be clear, the T1925.30 as a standalone purchase is all that I need (well with the software, of course)?

You are quite right in that I originally bought the Flow with the iMagic upgrade.

Thanks again.

I´m very confused.
I have a Fortius 1932 and motorbrake , steering unit. Will my hardware work with the new tts4 and also all my real life videos? Essentially it is only my old Fortius 2.02 software that wont work with my window 7 64 bit system?

So all I have to do is to buy the new tts 4, uninstall my fortius sofware. Install tts 4 om my windows 7 64 bit system and my old Fortius trainer will work with the new software????
Have I understood this correctly????
Or will my Fortius hardware only work with windows 32 bit?
