Flux long derailleur problem

Post by conoraofarrell » Tue Sep 25, 2018 3:41 pm

I recently made the mistake of buying a Flux, without knowing about the long derailleur issue. Do you know if there is any way around the issue by using a smaller (11-28) cassette? I'm hoping the derailleur will not be fully extended, thus not hitting the leg/housing.

Thanks

Some workarounds are offered here:

One of the workarounds is the lengthening of the chain.

If you already have a sprocket at 28, it's easy to measure the distance the rear derailleur takes.
