Flux virtual shifting

Post by giordano » Mon Nov 13, 2017 12:49 am

Hello,
I had an iFlow before, several years ago, now I have a Flux coming. I've just heard about virtual shifting, but I find very minimal information on it. If I want a dedicated bike, do I need shifting at all?
Is that working ín both TTS4 and apps? How about zwift?
Thanks,
JG

It's in development. Probably you about this:
Instead of a cassette, the Tacx Neo Smart Bike has a virtual flywheel which will simulate gears, or virtual shifting, using the electromagnet within the Neo.

Thanks a lot!
I thought that is reality now. In that case I will need real shifting :-(
Will be more realistic probably, but I hoped it can be simplified now.

Hello,
Right after I received a Flux, I had it returned and bought a Neo for different reasons. I did not bought a dedicated bike yet, what I'm considering now again. Do you see virtual shifting in at least Tacx software will became reality? Would be nice to build only a single speed bike and shift on the app. I guess that would not be possible with Zwift, but I'm using less that now.
Thanks,
JG
