So Far So Good

Post by DRBA22 » Mon Nov 20, 2017 6:31 pm

I did the Ghent Trip just now and really like the interface. Easy to toggle the various widgets on & off. Not as clunky as TTS4 and no adverse evidence of the "Virtual Braking" that has ruined its predecessor.
I think this TDA App has a lot of potential although I am wary of the monthly premium when the product is finally launched, but for now I will enjoy the other free videos.
With regard to the Ghent City trip, I would love to see the out-takes to see how many cyclists and pedestrians were harmed in the making of the film
Other than that, well done to the team.

Today I did also Gent for the first TDA trip.
I tried several times to pull my handlebar for steering, I tried several times to brake for an emergency brake, I shouted several times 'Paaltje' (Dutch for pole). But that didn't work at all. Best thing is to close your eyes and let Phil do the steering.....   .

Question: where do I find my training file???? I didn't find it in the cloud :(

In the Cloud on the left hand side you will see "Activities" click that and it will show the rides you have completed. You can also download the .TCX file.

There are No files standing there. Empty
So there’s also no local saving?

I would contact support, your data should have been recorded though..it will be some place. you are going to the cloud via the TDA software? its possible to have two accounts if your coming from TTS & you then need to merge them...how you do that is a mystery for me..you will need to poke about as Im not sure if there are instructions for it all yet.

For the monthly premium, if you like riding RLV then the yearly one would be the best value  Anyone that buys a few rides a year & wished they could ride more of the collection will find the subscriptions amazing value as it gives you unlimited access to what would cost you €1000s in TTS4....Ride a different mountain every night, Ride all the classics all the citys or do the Raid Pyrenees etc..it would cost a small fortune normally to do this in full HD.

For opening TDA you have first to log in to the cloud. I assume that’s the same account where TDA upload the trainingsfile to.....

I would also, try restarting TDA..sometimes if it did not get a connection to the cloud it will wait until the next time its opened

There seems to be a bug in the present public version that prevents saving of activities for some, including you and me. :D It’s beta... and fixed in the next version.

A Build should be going to the store this week to fix the activity upload issues. Older activities won't be recovered sadly.

I find it a little bit silly that you need an internet connection to save your ride. It’s the world upside down. I use tts4 and Veloreality and there the programs automatically save the ride to your local disk. Then I have the choice to upload to the different community’s

That is the bug. The upload contains "invalid data" which happened due to culture settings but now your culture won't matter anymore

I am sure this has been mentioned somewhere here in the Forum ... but I cannot find the answer to my question yet ...

As a matter of understanding the concept of TDA ... will I be able to use my "old" TTS4 - RLV of Tacx and some third party companies with TDA? Or is is for download / streaming RLV only?
