Bushido T2790 support

Post by gerko » Sat Nov 18, 2017 4:27 pm

Will the bushido t2790 (bushido for tablet) be supported on the windows app?

The brake is detected but no data options are shown like speed, etc..

They should really pull their pants up and fix this. It's smart but not smart, works with one app but not with another, it doesn't make sense at all except as a big development blunder and not enough exposure to care to fix it. Embarrassing frankly and hardly motivating to be brand-loyal.

People do get ticked when they find that a piece of technology has limitations in terms of forward compatibility, but, being realistic, it should be recognized that this brake first came to market 5 years ago before various smart products were being sold. There are many Tacx products in this vintage or before (such as those with USB interfaces or only ANT+ connectivity) that do not work with TDA either.

It always seemed to me that the Bushido for Tablet was directed to an awfully narrow niche, which is why it did not seem very attractive to me.

It's unfortunate that Tacx does not have an economic upgrade route for the electronics on the brake that would satisfy users like you, which is really the best solution in my opinion.
