TDA Beta for MAC: not opening on iMAC and High Sierra

Post by cmoutot » Sat Mar 31, 2018 5:21 pm

Hello,

I'm currently beta testing the TACX Desktop App Beta version for Mac OS X. I'm using 2 MAC OS machines both of Mac OS High Sierra.

On my MacBook PRO 13 inches, I have no issue to load and run the applicaton.

On my iMAC 27 inches, whenever I'm trying to open the application from the Application Folder, the TACX Window appears but disappear right away and the application closes.

What could I do to understand where it comes from and to fix the issue ?

Best Regards

You are not likely to hear from Tacx on the forum. You should contact them directly at support@tacx.com

Cmoutat,

Your 27inch macbook does it support "Metal"? As that would cause this interaction.

Same problem here (running Mac Mini mid 2011 without Metal support).

Metal is a requirement for the TDA app

I have the same problem. But I looked up that Metal thing that was mentioned above and apparently it only runs on Macs from 2012 or later. Mine are both 2011, so I guess it’s no joy for me.

I’ve been riding TTS on a Bushido since 2009, but I think it’s time to start at least thinking about updating one or both of those.
