Importing user to my PC

Post by rob.p74@gmail.com » Sat Mar 04, 2017 10:07 pm

I have created an account using my iPad and have purchased videos using this account.

Today a loaded Tacx software onto my desktop PC and when initiating the software I get a prompt asking if I want to create a new user or download user. I press the icon to download my existing user account but get an error message saying the "specified user doesn't exist" .

I have double checked my user details and password by logging off and back on via my iPhone and iPad and I am certain that I am using the correct details.

Any one got any ideas what I should try next ?

Rob

The user accounts for TTS are linked to Bikenet while the users for the Android/iOS apps are Tacx cloud accounts. While I believe it is in the works, Tacx has not yet linked Tacx cloud accounts with the TTS Bikenet accounts, so for now, you can either create a new account for use with TTS, or create a local account that will not be connected to Bikenet.

I believe the video format currently differs between PC & iPad.

Understood,thanks for explanations.

I had expected to be defined as a Tacx customer and to have seamless multiplatform access to my purchases even if the video that feeds them needs to be in a different format, not to be considered a separate customer depending on whether I was using my iPad or my PC.

All this TCA / TTS / Cloud User vs Bikenet user seems utterly and unneccessarily confusing to a first time Tacx customer... just saying :?

Look at the bright side, these days you can enjoy the ANT+ FE-C protocol allowing you to train with which ever app you prefer, including Tacx's free training apps for Android and iOS devices. Many of us have suffered through years of closed platforms, engineering faults with legacy trainers, not to mention new versions of TTS that required a new purchase as there was no upgrade path/incentive.
