New Laptop

Post by steve123 » Mon Jan 04, 2016 11:28 pm

Hi, the tacx advanced software is becoming too much for my present laptop and I plan to replace. Does the software work ok in Windows 10 and what is the best way to install the software. Do I need you use my disc and then update or can I download from tacx?

Should I use the PC spec found on the tacx website or is there further advice?

Thanks Steve

Hi
No problem with windos 10, so far
For the installation I always use my disk, but perhaps a DL version exists somewhere on Tacx Site

Be careful to transfer the licence from your old computer :)

4.16 Web-installer - quick download
4.16 Full-DVD-version - long download but is same content as on latest DVD

As already noted, be sure to make an online backup and deactivate the licence from your old computer before attempting to install on the new computer.

Hi all, I am working on moving my Tacx 2.0 through Tacx 4 to a new computer. I do not have Tacx 2.0 installed on any other computers right now. However when I try to activate on the new computer it is telling me that it is already registered elsewhere... Any advice? Do I need to reinstall it on the old computer and reactivate it? Or do I need to deactivate the newer upgrade versions before I can activate Tacx 2.0? I was hoping to keep versions 3 and 4 on the old computer so I can continue to ride with it while I wring out issues on the new one. Thanks for the pointers.

Thanks. I actually had a great experience with the Tacx support team. They were able to give me a new full license to Tacx 3 to install and then do my upgrade. Kudos to them!!!
