Flow Upgrade

You`re thinking about buying a Tacx product, but need a little bit more information.

Flow Upgrade

Post by smarkgee » Tue Nov 08, 2011 11:42 pm

I have recently been bought a tacx flow. nice unit.

what do i have to buy to do the following please?

1. some get my POWER DATA out of tacx and into sporttracks eg on a pc or with an ant+ stick?????

2. Get the ability to do simple lap/split - otherwise the average data shown is simply useless.

thanks

I don't think that the Flow can output to a computer. My old 2007 model couldn't. You would have to buy a Tacx VR Upgrade Flow which is around £250. This would effectively give you a VR trainer and access to TTS3, RLV etc.

I did the Tacx Upgrade PC T1925.30 for Tacx Ergotrainers Cosmos + Flow
Which cost me 189 euros on an online shop. I believe I have seen it for a little less as well.

I'll answer my own question

a 1: this can be done using proxy power into sporttracks. you have to use wheel speed as a proxy for power and then a PC can re-broadcast the power back to your Garmin - it works.

a 2: you can't do it on the tacx device. once you have done the first thing with the proxy power your garmin can do it
