Import Training Peaks file into Tacx Neo

Post by Jacksyee » Tue Feb 13, 2018 5:15 am

Hi,

My coach sends me bike workouts via training peaks.

TP can export via

FIT ERG MRC ZWO

Formats.

I’d like to get my TP workouts into TacX - I use the IPAD to access my Tacx.

Is this somehow possible?

Any help appreciated

Workouts are created in the Tacx Cloud and then can be done via the Cycling or Training Apps. The „Create Workout“ tool in the Cloud accepts only .gpx so far (guess it‘s focused on converting routes clicked on a map into a workout based on elevation data - haven‘t tried yet). So you would need to convert one of those data formats into .gpx. I think .fit is nowadays the most common and there are a fair number of tools out there that can import .fit and export .gpx. You can eg use Strava or Garmin Connect. If you don‘t wish to clog your accounts there - one very powerful tool to handle .fit is http://fitfilerepairtool.info, but it is not free.

Thannks - I actually found another solution (requires Zwift)

Export the file to a ZWO.

Import the file to Zwift using itunes

It shows up in Zwift under “custom workouts ”

Only negative is you can’t use your apple TV Zwift it has to be an Ipad or Iphone Zwift - but then you can stream it to your TV (I Zwift in front of my TV with Apple TV usually on the Neo - i will need to stream to TV which is not perfect but still good)

Best regards,

J
