new films and TTS3

Post by Kazan » Sun Aug 20, 2017 1:49 am

 I wanted to purchase some films, I check for compatibility with TTS3 before purchasing and found that they were only compatible with TTS4. If so I cannot purchase film now and in the future. Could you tell me how I may purchase film for my not so old TTS3.

Start at the end, from the 10th page:
https://tacx.com/products/tacx-films/page/10/
The store has a lot of RLV that are compatible with the TTS3.

I went to page 10 and found films I have. My problem is: How do I know for sure that a film is compatible to tts3? I wanted to purchase the Gorge du tarn It is not clear that it is compatible with TTS3

Before buying RLV, pay attention to the words in the left column of the corresponding page:
Road surface simulation: Yes
and to this icon:
Image
This label and this icon mean that the playback of this RLV is guaranteed only in the TTS version 4.20 or higher.

If both of these signs are absent, the film is compatible with TTS3.

The RLV "Gorges du Tarn" (T2058.45) is not compatible with TTS3.

Alex-

Have you tried manually installing a TTS4 only video in TTS3 to see what happens? It may only be that road simulation does not work in TTS3. I think that TTS4.20 was the first version of TTS4 to add road simulation. I don't know as I have not looked at this. Of course, if you don't have TTS4 on your PC, it won't be possible to manually install it in TTS3 as the TTS4 only installer will probably not work.

The installer of the RLV will work even on a computer where the TTS is not installed.

The TTS3 simply does not find the corresponding tts(4)-file:

Yesterday I bought Brugge City and Rome City and rode it with TTS4 - all fine.
But on the same PC I have TTS3 installed. TTS3 doesn't find the RLVs altough the .tts files are correct installed in ProgramData folder.
