Hey guys, I've just brought the Vortex Smart and was told when I did that I'd be able to load courses in from my rides using my Garmin but can't find any information on how to do it. Could someone point me in the right direction please?

Directly from Garmin Device, just copy the files from device onto PC, then in TTS go to Export/Import tab along top of screen and choose format that files from garmin are..usually "fit"device to "GarminConnect" go to the uploaded ride in "Connect"....above the map of ride is an "EXPORT" tab, you can choose .tcx or .gpx then in TTS Import tab, dropdown menu, give option to import either..

Most users find it best to smooth the ride beforehand as some of the changes in elevation can be a little sharp..

To smooth the elevation of the file use smoothing program available here : http://www.lunicus.org/tacx/GPXsmoother.htm

NOTE: if you have GARMIN CONNECT on your PC, make sure it is off (exit) when you wish to connect brake/headunit/hr monitor etc... GarminConnect interferes with the connection between TTS antenna and devices

Thanks for the info but I'm running the Tacx software on my iPad currently...and my only other option is a Mac. Would I have to connect my MacBook to the Tacx via Bluetooth and control it from that in order to use the Garmin courses or can they be loaded into the the list of workouts on the iPad app?

Not with the App...importing rides not implemented at present...you can 'create' courses in the dropdown menu on lefthand side of the screen..
