Gooogle Earth or did you actually take the picture? Whatever, great memories. I spent several days in Seez and used this MacD as my email base.

Just finished the 25k climb of mont Cenis, the last 10k just saw my wheels get square...
The descent was a great relief.

Great scenery! The reservoir at the top looked fantastic.
I think a recovery day is in order Saturday... and a beer or two.

After the first few kilometres out of Lanslebourg that are a bit steep you will have an absolutely wonderful recovery ride to Bonneval-sur-Arc, then the hard work begins again.

Fraz you are coming along well and both you and David should catch me up before too long, as will Martin. I missed you as I rode past Martin, I am now at the cafe at the finish of Part 2.

Taken with your phone? I did not actually go into the cafe "In Real Life", too many motor bikies around, so here is a picture from a couple of kilometres away. Cheers to you too! I see that we sport similar haircuts.

Currently at the foot of the Col de Romme having recently stopped for morning tea in Le Grand Bornand: croissants, a glass of Genepi and a chat with that attractive waitress, dream on Doug - IRL cookies, tea and Audrey my wife. The bank was still shut but perhaps that is understandable since it is Sunday here in NZ. Passed several cyclists, they look just the same as last time so I guess that they are doing the ride a second time as well. I see that you are in Flumet Martin so not far behind me, with David G at the bottom of Cenis on the north side and Fraz similarly placed on the south side; see you all in Evian.

Best wishes to all still on the road. Doug

So here I am again at the foot of the Finestre. Doing it all again at 100% powermode. Our version of spring this year doesn't really invite to riding outdoors. Had a three-week break, though, thanks to the fourth bout of flu since Christmas  . I had hoped for an introduction to all those nurses malfukt knows in Briancon by now  , but alas... so I had to move on. Met that blonde jogger again on the foot of the Sestriere - was that a wave or blowing of a kiss this time?

Great news Phil, we have all been looking forward to this. Have a safe drive home we want this one in production as soon as possible, certainly in time for a 2014 New Years Challenge! Kind regards to both of you. Doug

Fantastic news. I have still to build up to riding these type climbs at 100%, but they are so enjoyable.

It would be good to have someone setup the google map again when the videos are released, so that we can see who else is on the course.

Our engine blew up south of Paris so stuck waiting for a train back to Belgium....I have for sure the best footage I've made to date in my bag though! Hope it will make enough to cover getting our Roadster back on the road!

In the end I decided to go for a fairly direct route over the Jeu, was fairly good run with very few cuts, will probably end on the Tourmalet which we hit on a Sunday afternoon.....did some other filming also for downloads.... Think I now have too much footage!

Still sitting here waiting for a rescue from this village we are stuck in south of Paris
