Climbs filmed on Tacx RLV for TTS4

Post by Tacx Video Production » Fri Dec 07, 2012 6:05 pm

We now have rather a long list of well known climbs & hills spread out on the various Real life video DVDs. Some of the climbs are added as a bonus & others are part of a long route. At this time we have 2000+km of roads to train on available direct from the Tacx online shop! Its unknown how many kilometers climbing we have but for sure its enough to add a major boost to your condition!

Updated it a bit (green text is rides filmed with the latest camera kit over the last 3 years)

I've always wanted an RLV of Mont Faron, with some of those stunning views back down over Toulon. It's so short that I imagine you could get both the ascent and descent into a viable length for a download.

As the Tour is coming to Yorkshire 2014, Holme Moss & Snake Pass will be on the menu. Buttertubs in the Dales has also been hinted at.

It certainly would be perfect for RLV. Remember that the Tour used to visit Faron before it got too big of an event.
One possibility to lengthen it would be to include Mont Coudon > Mont Faron > Mont Caume.
Another could be Mont Faron > Mont Caume > Route des Cretes > l'Espigoulier
While we're at it, a Blu-ray series of the Tour Mediterraneen would be fine by me!

Thanks for the pictures, waywardcyclist. Those climbs around Toulon have been my summer stomping ground for the last couple of years, as I rented a Gite just behind Mont Caume with my family. Faron-Toulon-Caume is a great ride, and those narrow winding roads might look nice on film, but Caume and Coudon have no separate descent. Faron, on the other hand, has the stunning views back down over the city and the descent.

The other two climbs I don't know, but I'll make sure I check them out when we return in late June. Thanks for the tips!

Yes, perhaps Faron > Evenos > Bandol > Route des Cretes > l'Espigoulier would still have enough climbs and avoid any backtracking.

For everyday riding, I usually did this loop:
http://app.strava.com/segments/1741744
Much less traffic and lots of beautiful countryside (plus 5200 ft of climbing).
I'm still not sure if I'll be back this summer, but I will be back often.

Any chance of the Atlas mountains in Morocco - I cycled them many years ago, scenery was great, climbs sweaty and descents glorious...

Thanks
The download films are in low res SD from Tacx but after you have a licence you can mail me proof of purchase for a link to download a replacement video file in HD. As these files have no size restrictions I have used a higher bitrate then I normally use on DVD. Only the Cura is not available in HD

Tisztul_A_Visztula wrote:But can somebody please tell me how to activate a downloadable film. I got two (!!!) keys per product bought, but the installer did not offer me to type the keys. Moreover I already got a warning by TTS3 that the video will expire in a week.

I checked both TTS3 and Tacx Diagnostic Tool, but could not find any menu item for activating a film.

May I give the keys to TTS3 only when the trial period will expire?

Thanks
Just try & ride one of them & you will get the box pop up asking you for the key...Its a bit mad but its the way it is.

Hi TAV ,
I've had a few slight RLV probs like this. I am a newbie myself and no doubt someone more knowledgeable will answer your post - usually malfukt for me :) - but in the meantime I think you have to click on Help on top line and look at - license info - Some RLVs don't seem to have licence numbers others do.

Then go to other posts on forum regarding RLVs. I have one listed as " RLV not listing " read the thread it might help give some pointers.
