Power Meters and TACX Flux and Zwift or TR

Post by Cervelovan » Sun Dec 31, 2017 7:49 am

Hello,
I have a Tacx Flux and Garmin Vector Pedals on my bike. I have been told by some to use the Vectors as my PM when doing a workout but then I guess I am missing out on the key benefit of the Smart Trainer on either Zwift or TrainerRoad which is have the trainer power set based on the course or terrain. Am I missing something?

Thanks,

You won't miss anything if you do this. The resistance will still be set by your trainer, but your Vector pedals will provide a more accurate measure of how much power you are producing. The pedal is simply a better power measurement sensor than what is inside the brake.

Hi there,

I have the same set up - Garmin Vector and Flux and want to use Zwift

What are the steps (calibration/what to connect first/what app to use etc...) to do this properly?

I want to run the Tacx on ZWIFT, using the Vector power readings.

Can you record the ride on Garmin 520 as well?

Does anyone know if you can do the same with ERG mode on The Sufferfest?

Thanks a lot! New Tacx owner and a bit all over the shop trying to sort it out!
