Satori, Swing, Sirius, Speedmatic, Rollers

I realise that the Satori Smart has a built in speed and cadence sensor (or at least uses some sort of algorithm to work out this data). If I were to use my own speed and cadence sensor would this be more accurate? Essentially the figures should be the same but I didn't know as the speed and cadence are 'calculated' using the Satori, whether an actual sensor would be preferable.
