Hi good evening!
This is Mathias from The Netherlands.
A couple of weeks ago I got a Tacx Fortius from A friend of mine, I bought myself a computer, monitor.
The video files were copied to hard disc... :)

Brake is calibrated, I used it two times:
- the first time no problem
- the second one there was a very strange sound from the beginning: u guys can hear it in the youtube video I added to this post.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Abzr8NJ8TWo

The PU is still attached and one piece with the steel roller. its not loose or something.
Is anyone familiar to this strange noise? Its more like a creaky(krakend) sound.
THe less braking you adjust with the bolt, the less sound it gives.

Is it a bearing?

Obviously you found the thread that goes in depth about this noise problem. It is not a bearing.

Steel sleeve on the roller is loose. It is very difficult to see by untrained eye those small cracks between steel sleeve holes and PU tabs.

Can be fixed with glue fix described on this thread. I have used two component epoxy glue on my own Flow.

Two part glues seem to be the preferred method according to the posted replies in the thread. After drilling the holes I tapped them to insert a fine thread bolt. I epoxied the bolts in, then I cut off the excess bolt that was sticking out and filed the rest to make the surface smooth with the surface of the metal sleeve. This has lasted more than 7 years if I remember correctly. Never had noise problems again.

One of the more humorous bits of advice from the Tacx to fix this problem:

"In case of out of warranty, you can add power glue between the holes mentioned in this picture."

Unfortunately I had trouble finding "power glue" at my local hardware store.

Google gives me a lot of pictures on request "power glue". For example:

For some reason, I didn't think Tacx was referring to cyanoacrylate ("Superglue"), but I do think some folks did in fact try that type of adhesive.
