[RESOLVED]How to get 'street view' to work

Post by TacxMan2017 » Wed Feb 15, 2017 10:40 pm

Hi..

I'm new to the world of Tacx. Recently purchased a smart turbo trainer and got a basic license for TTS4. Today I purchased a Google license as the gps and street view rides are very appealing to me.

However, I can't seem to get the street view side of things working. I've selected the street view setting in options, but all I see is a 2D map. I tried selecting the 3D map option too but still no street view.

Are there any other settings I need to check in order to get it working please?

Thanks for any help :)

Edit: Just to add, I've paired my trainer and sensors without any issues, it's just street view giving me problems.

While training you can browse through the different screens using up arrow and down arrow on the handlebar interface (or keyboard).

Thanks for the reply Alex and for the info and guide.

When I installed TTS4, I wasn't prompted to install the Google plugin. Is that a problem?

The proposal to install the plug-in appears when you first attempt to use GPS functions.

Hmm it possibly did and I just don't remember.

That said, the 2D and 3D maps are working so do those features require the plugin?

Just made a little gps route for the centre of London, just in case it's a geographical issue as I live in the countryside and street view still didn't work and the keyboard arrow keys made no difference.

Also downloaded an installer for the Google Earth plugin, it installed fine but still no joy.

Don't suppose anyone here is able to provide the plugin please?

Uninstalled, then reinstalled TTS4. Deleted folders, programdata folder and user folders.

No difference

GPS view changes to graph view? Or no changes? It is possible that the program window is not active. Click the window with the mouse.

No changes at all. I'm pretty sure I tried clicking in the window but will try that again later. I've had to put the turbo trainer away for the time being.

Thanks for the continued support.

I'm sorry, on the keyboard: PageUP/PageDOWN cycles thru screen view in ride.

I found that topic earlier. Pretty sure I tried page up/down but again, not sure if tts had focus. I've downloaded the unified remote app mentioned in the last post of that topic so will try again later using laptop touchpad and keypad, wireless mouse/keyboard and also the phone app/laptop server app. Hopefully one of the combinations work :)

Managed to get it working with the Unified Remote as mentioned in the other topic.

Street view wasn't quite what I expected but at least I was able to zoom the map and make other changes which made the virtual ride more enjoyable.

Thanks again Alex :)
