Dude - yes it can! Admittedly it is not easy but just ask any of the customer service folks at your local Consumer Electronics store (aka Best Buy, Circuit City, Fry's Electronics here in the US).

While I am also relatively new to Fortius, today I have been doing some forum research and noted a thread from last year indicating that the poster found a scale factor of 107 yielded results spot on compared to his Power Tap (http://www.tacxvr.com/phpbb2/viewtopic.php?t=2018). I am unsure what scal...

Adapting pedalling style to minimise the choppiness of the brake resistance is a recipe for poor training IMO and possible stress injuries. Sorry - I did not mean to imply that altering pedaling style was the required solution. Like Mcorn, I simply wanted to express my observations/perceptions of t...

Kevin, I have observed the same problem but would suggest that to some extent, the rider must bear some of the blame! In my case, this morning I spent a bit of the training workout (hill repeats at .1% increase in gradient every 100 meters up to 4%) analyzing the climb and noted a marginal amount of...

BD, Your CTS coach should have a training plan/schedule worked out and that person would most likely be best suited to tell you how to incorporate the trainer into the schedule. As for Fortius, while the VR world is visually more appealing, for more serious training efforts you will probably want to...

Checked mine before starting the training session this morning and it is also dated December 2006 so I too will be keeping my fingers crossed. I like your idea of using a surge arrestor/protector - there is one protecting the computer and 37" LCD that I use to run the trainer. Just curious which sur...

Got my replacement from the service center today (paid to have it shipped Next Day Air - $44 US - ouch) and will be back on the trainer in the morning. Did not realize how much I enjoyed the Fortius automation when it comes to training until I had to ride the manual trainer the Fortius replaced. Thi...

Re: Fortius seizes again, help me Tacx!

I think either unplugging the Tacx power supply or turning the power switch off (same effect) when not in use is prudent because of the reports of bangs, smoke and circuit breaker trips. Going to have to agree as I had been powering off the motorbrake powersupply then unplugging the unit after ever...

Although I may be wrong, as I understand it you can not (yet) import a GPX file for use with the VR terrains.

Ownsports.net - site down?

I was trying to convert a GPX course file of the course of an upcomming race and when I tried to access the site (http://www.ownsports.net), all IE returns is the dreaded page not found error? :?:

Well, seeing as Software Quality Assurance (software testing) is what I do for a living, I might as well throw my hat in the ring. I would even go so far as to suggest the Development team organize an external (volunteer) test team that incorporates a variety of different PC hardware running the dif...

Chris,

Thanks for the tip - using the 'Enter' key after making the change did the trick. Any ideas about my other question concerning the 'Next >' button not being enabled after filling out the registration page to register via the Internet?

Using Ver 1.32, another annoyance - with system options for weight set to pounds, when I attempt to add a new user and set the weight (example 172.5 lbs) when I move the cursor (tab key or mouse) to the next a new filed, the value I entered for the weight changes to 88.1 and the height of the new ri...

New user registration?

Sorry if this has been posted in another place but I am a new Fortius user and curious if there is a fix for the following problem? I found that during installation from the CD-ROM (ver 128- English) that when the program comes to the new TACX user registration card, once I fill out the form, the 'N...
