Re: TT4 or desktop app

I love VR, particularly Tacx's VR. They finally got TTS right. Just so things don't change, I am lucky enough to have a rocking PC with a Windows 7 operating system dedicated to the trainer. I quit connecting the PC to the internet so nothing will change and I can rely on it working. The down side b...

Re: Tacx Vs Zwift

I read a post on Facebook a few minutes ago where the poster said he/she ??? did the Alpe du'Zwift and Zwift got the slope wrong so it wasn't really like doing that route at all. They had a few other negative things to add, but the poster said they like the TDA video of the Alpe du'huez better., see...

Re: Tacx Vs Zwift

You have some good points but I don't agree with all of them. I don't like using Zwift because I think the graphics are to cartoonish. I hate the overlays that are splashed all over the screen with game like pop ups and huds that are telling me who's around me and that Sprint or King of the Mountain...

Re: TTS4 General information

For a gaming card I would agree with Lunatix and that is what we are talking about here, gaming graphics, not video. As for video I have perfect picture and smooth playback of even the 4K videos I've used so far. But for virtual reality which is gaming the GTX980 is not specifically a good card for ...

Re: TTS4 General information

Thankx Kostyap I didn't do that this time but I am going to try different graphics settings within VR to see what happens on the 4K screen. I did connect the 1920 x 1200 computer monitor up and ran the same route with an opponent this time. This monitor is a high quality monitor with excellent color...

Re: TTS4 General information

It's possible the 4K TV might have something to do with the refresh rate. I never noticed any hesitation until I added the 4K TV. If I still had a 1080p I would try it just to be sure but like I said I never noticed this before. I have a 1920 x 1200 monitor I could try but I would have to wait until...

Re: TTS4 General information

That is a bit disheartening. I have had good luck so far with the update to 4.22.7. In fact I just came on the forums today to congratulate Tacx on the nice job they did with Valeggio. I think the graphics are amazing and it's something that Zwift will never compare to. The only thing I did notice w...

Retirement

Pros retire from cycling and slowly most of them get weaned from riding their bikes and their trainers for various reasons until they no longer prioritize their life around cycling. This has been my story in short but I've been weaned from riding my trainer and I fault Tacx for it. I have been ridin...

Re: TDA Go Live next week

I wouldn't say opportunity missed I would put it the opposite way, opportunity gained. If not for my dissatisfaction with the course that Tacx has taken, moving away from VR, I would not have been searching for other options. I am now in the group of beta testers for VirtuGo which I am excited about...

Re: TDA Go Live next week

I would comment the obvious reason Tacx doesn't care about this forum is people are able to search out more issues with software and hardware in the forums where committing to social platforms like Facebook there is less chance people will find older posts or negative history which would view them a...

Re: TDA did not save ride

I had a corrupt download with the Ghent City Trip. It ran smoothly about 7 miles into it, as soon as I got to the cobbles section the trainer starting bucking and kicking like I was in the worse rock garden I've ever ridden in. I sent a ticket to Support but they had no ideas. After 3 tries I delete...

New Freehub Bodies for Neo?

I am reading around the net that the new Neos for 2018 have new freehub bodies specific for the group that user uses. I am wondering if this is something that is backwards compatible with those of us how want to replace the EDCO bodies. To get a new body I hear we have to contact Tacx support and wh...

Re: Neo gone bang after twelve months?

Like Alex stated, the information that was included in the box, at least the box I got, says one year. I'm not going back to look this up but I think it was on Facebook where I read that the warranty had been extended to two years for the Europeans only.

Re: Neo gone bang after twelve months?

Don't we only get a one year warranty on the Neo here in the US? I know they get two years over seas but I thought I read that that wasn't extended to us.

Re: NEO - HUB problem - noise

One could always shoot off an email to the frame manufacturer and ask if the bike should not be used on a trainer. If they say no then I'd sell the bike because it is probably a piece of crap. I took a look at the bike in question here, the Argon E119, and I don't understand why someone would want t...

Re: NEO - HUB problem - noise

Well I guess he should sell his NEO or the bike then. If the carbon frames where that rigid carbon would not be a good material to use to build bikes.. Check out YouTube videos of frame manufacturers testing there products. They are not made out of glass. They do have some flex and give. 2mm ...

Re: When can we see a Tacx climbing device like Wahoo Climb?

I'm pretty sure Tacx isn't going to copy the Wahoo Climb so you might just want to get some phone books or build yourself some custom riser blocks.

Re: NEO - HUB problem - noise

I had that problem with my 11 spd M10 Colnago bike. I had to fabricate, do a little grinding with a Dremmel, a washer with the same inner and outer diameter as the axle part of the NEO. I removed the axle and installed the washer and replaced the axle, which then in turn spaced the axle out farther ...
