Re: Tacx Neo brakes during workout

The Fortius had numerous issues, any one of which could cause big problems, including sudden locking up of the brake. The most common cause of Fortius sudden braking is the cadence sensor not working. Because the Fortius is self-powered, a cadence sensor input signal was required to prevent a run aw...

Re: Old RLV use with NEO

Yes Alex is right. You have to do a manual install of the TTS control file as described at the Lunicus website.

Re: Old RLV use with NEO

The older videos are not compatible with any of the Tacx mobile apps or with the new Windows app (TDA). At this point, your most economical approach is probably the Tacx Desktop App (TDA) monthly subscription program, where you have access to a pretty large library of high quality videos and other f...

Not sure there is a TTS3 driver for the Neo. Send an email to support@tacx.com

Re: TT4 or desktop app

I only use the VR, the videos tend to be the same every time I ride :) Odd comment to me. I find the VR much more repetitious with fewer selections while the videos have a lot more variety. In addition, there are many economically-priced third-party videos for TTS in addition to the current Tacx sa...

Re: no readings from Neo after connecting via blue tooth

Thank you for the suggestions. the problem is resolved. I believe there was a conflict between my phone and the computer. Once I turned blue tooth off on my phone, then deleted the Neo blue tooth connection from the computer and rebooted every thing and repared the neo with the computer everything ...

Re: Vortex smart

Ill give that a go - any ideas on the assembly to be sure it is on setting 2 and should I accept calibration setting as it reads green now even though it si clearly not working when climbing Getting this thing properly assembled can be a hassle. One thing I do that helps is to first assemble it wit...

Re: Vortex smart

The middle setting should be the correct one for your road tire. I have used both trainer and road tires. If you are putting in a lot of time on the trainer, a trainer tire is probably better - more so for heat dissipation than slippage. I am currently using a Vittoria trainer tire and have also use...

Re: no readings from Neo after connecting via blue tooth

On occasions, I have had similar problems, but they are usually resolved by rebooting the BT transmitter and brake (unplugging, then replugging) and sometimes rebooting the PC as well. Be sure there are no other Bluetooth or ANT+ devices trying to access the brake or other sensors.

Re: T2085 Genius upgrade available?

I just found this posting with great disappointment. A friend and I had planned to doing this upgrade as it made financial sense. With the prices that I am seeing now it makes no sense anymore and forces me to look at other options than Tacx. As a note to Tacx, an ability to have an upgrade path fo...

Re: Genius Smart cannot be controlled by Zwift

I would first try to ensure the problem is not with Zwift. Have you used the brake with other applications like TTS or the mobile apps. If you have similar problems with everything, then there may be a problem with your brake. If it works correctly with some programs but not others, then I would be ...

Re: Power Requirements - Tacx Flow

The extension cord is one consideration but a bit of a tricky route to my flat on the second floor. Ah, sorry, way to easy when on the wrong side of the pond to assume everyone else has a two car garage adjacent/attached to the single family home. True, but running an outdoor extension cord ...

Re: Power Requirements - Tacx Flow

The 2240 Flow Smart, like the regular USB Flow/Imagic before it, consumes very little power even though these units are capable of generating a fair amount of wattage resistance (up to 800 watts). The Flow/Image brakes are an eddy current type and utilize low power electromagnets to induce a braking...

Re: Calculation Calories Calories vs TTS4

None, it is just a unit. A simple alternative really for WHr. 'Food calories' though are a very inaccurate unit, since they vary so much between individuals. Using them except as a very rough guide, is really as useful as a pine cone for forecasting the weather... I think the pine cone might be mor...

Re: Calculation Calories Calories vs TTS4

While I agree that estimating the caloric intake needed to do a certain amount of work can be wild guessing, that is probably a more useful number for most people than a simple equivalency conversion of watts over time to calories. If all you are doing is the mathematical conversion of watts to calo...

Re: Does TDA support Vortex T1961

Does TDA support the Vortex T1961? No. TDA currently requires a Smart brake (Bluetooth capable) and the Vortex T1961 is ANT+ only. A thread on upgrading just the electro unit to a Vortex Smart: http://forum.tacx.com/viewtopic.php?t=25143 Note the comment from Alex that if you already have a lot of ...
