Re: Workouts and training plans - coming soon?

WIth the addition of workouts to TDA, is there functionality similar to the Free Cycle workouts in TTS where the user could change settings on the fly during a Watt/Time or FTP workout?

Re: Tacx Neo brakes during workout

I have power meter in my crank as source of power (because this is what I use outside :) ). So it could be connection issue between my power meter and wahoo bolt or wahoo bolt and neo. For your workouts, are you controlling the Neo from the Wahoo Bolt or using a 3rd party training app? I ask becaus...

Simple answer no. TTS 3 updates and support ended long before any of the Smart Trainers were introduced.

Re: Calibration on a fixed gear track bike

No experience with fixies, but the update routine is uses the time required to for the rear wheel to spin down to zero as part of the calibration process, so assuming you are using clipless style pedals and not straps, my suggestion is to unclip your shoes from the pedals and move your legs out of h...

The extension cord is one consideration but a bit of a tricky route to my flat on the second floor.
Ah, sorry, way to easy when on the wrong side of the pond to assume everyone else has a two car garage adjacent/attached to the single family home.

Assuming you own the garage and are not 'off the grid' so the speak, over the long term, wouldn't it pay better dividends to have an electrician wire in an electrical outlet in the garage?

Re: Cérvelo S5 and Tacx Neo

The user community on these forums is not very active during the summer, so my suggestion would be to check other sources like the Facebook TacxNeoOwners group. Altnerately, try posting in the comments section of DCRainmakers Tacx Neo review, or maybe post in the Weight Weenies Tacx Neo threads.

Re: Cérvelo S5 and Tacx Neo

You realize that Tacx does have an official support portal that may well answer this question? Bicycle compatibility The NEO Smart is compatible with most bicycle frames. If you have any doubt your frame will fit, please contact our support desk. For a full list of all compatible bicycle frames know...

Re: Tacx Neo T2800

Here is a good reference on the differences between Isokinetic and Isotonic modes: Tacx Introduced Isotonic and Isokinetic Modes For Tacx NEO So since I don't have a direct answer, I would offer that in slope mode, the Neo is making calculations to maintain the equivalent of a 7% gradient climb, so ...

Re: cadence

I think some clarification is needed from the OP as I interpret the word 'drop' to mean the cadence intermittently drops to 0, not that there is difficulty maintaining the same cadence as before changing cranks. Also, I regularly switch between the road bike with 52/38 with Absolute Black oval chain...

The best way to increase resistance while training on 'flat' terrain would be to use a Watt/Time workout in TTS or the Tacx Cycling App.

Re: Zwift - low power on flats (Win7/Tacx Vortex/BePro/Ant+)

What can I do to increase resistance on the flats when running Zwift controlling the Tacx Vortex (Ant+), and reading power from BePro pedals? How about stop riding on the flats? What would you do out on the open road in the real world? Final suggestion is to give Road Grand Tours a try as it is fre...

Worryingly Tacx support stated no Garmin FR's could read the Neo's Ant+ broadcast  when I know all that have a bike profile can! Re: NEO not broadcasting Ant+ ?? (can't pair)

I've tried to pair via Ant+ passively (without any BT connection made) to both my Garmin FR935 watch & my CABLE Ant+ to BT repeater & neither can find the NEO when they scan. Exactly what are you trying to accomplish? If you are trying to connect to/control the Neo itself as an ANT+ FE-C trainer, t...

Re: Sram Force 22 on a Neo T2800

May not help, but you could take a look at Tacx's Cassette installation and compatibility support article. What is the manufacturing year of your Neo as Tacx recently changed from an Edco MultiSys freehub that to two separate freehubs for Shimano/SRAM and Campganolo. If you have the Edco MultiSys, t...
