AFAIK it has been implemented in TTS4. For RLV I was told it would only be in new releases.

Re: 2017 Tacx Neo Flux

Strange you would think of the rocking thing as a negative, if you put down some effort it's good that the trainer has a little 'give' in it as you wouldn't stay bolt upright on the road.

Re: Removing front wheel?

PS I assume the Kreitler one is this one http://www.kreitler.co.uk/Kreitler-Forkstands

But that, like all fork stands, says it's for rollers, is the height adjustable to work with the Neo?

Re: Removing front wheel?

Strangely enough I came on here today to ask exactly the same question! Ideally I'd want the front wheel removed and replaced with a straight down stand but there doesn't seem to be anything available other than fork stands which are intented for use on rollers, so will be the wrong height anyway. I...

Re: Neo and speed

As is the case with all turbo trainers but especially with the Neo, speed is of no importance whatsoever, and I can't think of any instance where it shouldn't be anything other than ignored. All that ever matters is your measured power output, which is where the Neo excels. Most software packages li...

Re: SRAM WiFli derailleur hitting Neo Smart body

I have the same problem with the bottom of the derailleur hitting the body when I'm in my lowest gear front and back (it's not a problem when I'm using big/big). I'm using Tiagra 4700 10 speed with a short cage mech.

Is the spacers thing still the preferred solution?

Re: Use of bike brake on Genius / ironman

It specifically says not to do this in the instructions. That braking while the drum is spinning is not something the motor is built for and you can cause problems doing this. I always leave my rear brake QR undone to make sure this doesn't happen.

Re: Neo vs Bushido

Whike we are 1 for 2 with new Neos (get our replacement this afternoon), I will say that after her 2-rides, my wife sustain higher wattages versus the Bushido. I suspect it is due to the way the Neo models inertia versus the subtle changes in speed of the rear wheel on the Bushido, such that a 1-3r...

Re: Zwift

The trainer difficulty slider in Zwift only affects the multiplication of the grade, e.g. At 50% difficulty 10% becomes 5%. Obviously then this doesn't help with 0% as it'll always be 0%. It's possible that Zwift chooses a different resistance value for flat terrian than TTS so it has more scope to ...

Re: Tacx Neo T2800

First couple of hours ride on my Neo. Couple of things to note, from time to time I get a whistling noise, seems to be when accelerating downhill (on Zwift), it's not all the time or very loud so doesn't bother me. When climbing in bottom gear up a simulated grade of about 8% the crank revolutions f...

Re: Neo vs Bushido

Well I've switched to the Neo and it does feel like a much better ride, much smoother and progressive. Wouldn't say it's entirely the same as outside but it's much closer. Using Zwift my power output is about 20-30W higher using the Neo. I don't know if the Bushido was under reading, or the Neo is o...

Re: Tacx Neo T2800

Got my Neo today. With Shimano lock ring. Which would have saved me a lot of hassle trying to source a Campag tool and ending up with two of them because I thought the first one wouldn't come in time and ended up using neither! Tacx should update their website to make this clear. At least the includ...

Re: Tacx Neo T2800

I've had a look through the manual, but it's clear as mud :(. What spacers do I need for my Tiagra 4700 cassette? On my current wheel on trainer it has an 11-speed hub which currently has a 1.8mm spacer - as supplied with the wheels. Some 10 speed cassettes also needed a 1mm spacer even on 10 speed ...

Re: Tacx Neo T2800

I wish I'd known about this earlier today when I ordered a Neo! Could have saved £20 and a lot of hassle getting a Campag lock ring tool when I already have a Shimano one.

But how likely is it that a unit ordered from Wiggle today will take Shimano or Campag?

Re: Just bought a Bushido - now the questions

It doesn't drop the connections straight away. Even then it doesn't really matter how long you leave it. e.g. I can stop pedalling in Zwift, go away , have a cup of tea, then as soon as I start pedalling it all works again without any repairing.

Neo vs Bushido

I've been looking at the Neo with interest recently. As a possible replacement for my Bushido Smart. The main thing in my consideration is that riding the Bushido feels like a very different pedalling action from riding my bike outside, which is causing me some joint issues which aren't present with...

Re: Simple question ANT FE C

Simple question...I have a TACX Ironman trainer (TTS4) that I bought in November, 2014. I want to run some Veloreality films on my laptop, but I am confused about the ANT FE-C requirements, etc. I'm not techy...I just want to know what I need to do and what I need to buy to make that happen. Thanks...

Well I used white spirit because Tacx specifically mention it in their support pages.

But I think next time I attempt it I'll take the trainer outside first!

Buy an external Ant+ sensor. That's what I did. i have one - that's how i connect the Vortex to Zwift ..or do you mean something else? I think he means a seperate cadence sensor, like this http://www.wiggle.co.uk/wahoo-rpm-cadence-sensor-bluetooth-40-and-ant/ it's worth getting, my Bushido gives ca...
