Re: TDA Go Live next week

hey - thanks for that @thebigoneinfront honestly for now I'll hold out to see if Phil's predictions comes to pass, I would probably spend up to 175GBP on the update but no more, if compatibility isn't sorted I will re-assess what trainer to use. I'm somewhat tempted to move away from a wheel/frictio...

Re: TDA Go Live next week

again though - the one thing Tacx can offer is the coherence of hardware software and media. Most of the time I agree open source or mix and match is the way to go, indeed as I do for much of my other "tech"; but what I need from the trainer is to switch it on and train on a neat and tidy solution f...

Re: TDA Go Live next week

that's a bit harsh on the mods for me. pretty much invaraibly mods on all forums including here do an outstanding job patrolling the excesses of the internet. Never seen a requirement for them to keep forums updated with news though, even if they choose to do so on occasion. This being a Tacx hosted...

Re: TDA Go Live next week

I think Tacx have kind of forgot about this forum, It used a lot less over the last couple of years. probably becasue most users left left Tacx started "tidying up" aka deleting all the posts that complained about TTS  good news about the 1080p stuff - hate to see your good work compromised. ...

Re: TDA Go Live next week

Well I admit to being fed up that Tacx dropped the (overpriced) Genius BT upgrade which meant no TDA for me, I kinda gave up with Tacx as too many issues with TTS so it is sort of my fault for missing the upgrade but Tacx's fault for making TTS such a pain I threw it in a cupboard. Good news there i...

Re: So Far So Good

agreed there is little comparison except that there are lessons to appreciate in marketing. We took a lesson from Apple's book some time back on looking after customers who had issues, and often they are the noisy ones who can be the most demanding. Take care of them though and they can readily beco...

Re: So Far So Good

Yes - that works and is what most companies do regualrly with new technology - providing you have good customer/supplier experience. The problem with not so good experience, as in this instance, is the supplier just loses customers and it takes a very long time to shake off poor reputation. Look at ...

Re: So Far So Good

Thanks @mcorn. If Tacx really are claiming they cannot manufacture the upgrade boards any more then @Tacx - I own an electronics manufacturing facility here in the UK with a team of buyers who are hiighly proficient at sourcing even the most difficult/obsolete parts. Issue the design package to us (...

Re: So Far So Good

just jumping in having barely used my iGenius due to the seemingly endless TTS4 software issues. And Phil - yes this cost you/Tacx a ton of money on RLVs as I was happy to buy them, but not happy to spend anything from 10 mins to half a day trying to get TTS4 to run only to find out of sync issues o...

Firmware update 1.1.317

Followed the clearly written instruction to the letter and update worked first time. Havent used the trainer so much recently as weather been okay, but it does seem much more progressive now especially if climbing during an RLV at low cadence when you run out of gears and legs - a definite improveme...

Re: Heart Conditions

Damn - that makes my glitch sounds like a mild headache, even if I did have to be scraped off the floor. I really feel for you, the constant concern must be pretty debilitating itself. But hey, you reckon it is now fixed, so great news. Without in any way attempting medical advice, life's good, go e...

2013 TdF - who's going to be in which Jersey in 3 weeks time

well it's off - to a suitably controversial start in Corsica that must have have a few folks frantically reading the rule book, and a nasty crash that's already seen Tony Martin out and Contador didn't look so happy at the end either. A tour for the Brits this year? Froome in Yellow and Cavendish in...

Re: tacx heart rate monitor

There are two steps in Setup | Settings for HRM. Make sure you have done both, particularly Heat Rate ON in the second settings screen else you get zero display. Also make sure the rubber contacts to each side of the HRM sensor are moistened with water when fitting to ensure it switches on. Hope thi...
