Re: Calculation Calories Calories vs TTS4

None, it is just a unit. A simple alternative really for WHr. 'Food calories' though are a very inaccurate unit, since they vary so much between individuals. Using them except as a very rough guide, is really as useful as a pine cone for forecasting the weather... I think the pine cone might be mor...

Re: Calculation Calories Calories vs TTS4

Yes, a lot of people will prefer to work in 'food calories'.
Generally multiplying by three is a fairly typical conversion.

The rest of the error here is in the estimation versus a relatively real actual measurement...

Re: Calculation Calories Calories vs TTS4

The Garmin figure is a figure for food use, not power delivered. You are typically perhaps 35% efficient at turning food into power (less if you are less fit). So 96 calories delivered as power will burn about 280 calories of food. The TTS4 system is measuring actual power _ delivered _, not what yo...

Re: TTS4 Crash

Unfortunately is is part of TTS4. TTS4 is writen as a 32bit application able only to address 2GB of RAM. It uses a Microsoft library to index it's files, and uses this incorrectly (not as recommended by MS), which results in a large amount of RAM being used as the rides are indexed. When the number ...

Re: TTS4 Crash

I've seen that crash when I had too many rides stored. I think this functionality uses quite a bit of RAM, so can trigger a problem before other things start showing issues.
Move some of the stored rides to another location.

Re: cadence

Agreed on the incorrect assumption.
If he crank length has reduced, it requires you to supply more force at the pedal to turn at a given cadence. If you can't supply this, then your cadence will reduce.

Ergebnis Hitze. Hoffentlich mac...

Re: cadence

Not directly.
Are you sure you got the cadence magnet correctly placed on the crank arm with the change?.
Similarly when doing it are you sure the detector didn't get moved?.

Re: Chain rubbing despite exact same set up

They should be completely compatible. Obvious things: 1) Double check you really do have the 11s. Would be easy for someone to have sent a 10s by mistake!... 2) Check it really is fitting right home on the axle. The likely thing is that a little bit of sprue or something is stopping the casette from...

Re: MAC release tracking for Q1 still?

That's not a display. That's a complete iMac. i5 3GHz processor for the link you give. The Macbook Pro supports two external screens. Don't think the 12" standard Macbook does. According to Apple: "This MacBook can simultaneously support the internal display as well as up to 3840x2160 at 30 Hz or up...

Re: TTS4 no longer able to load video files

The video tab was working only a few days ago.
It may well be Win release 1803 has busted this... :(
I haven't checked since mine updated to 1803. Or it may only cause this with some specific video cards.
Quite a few things related to particular graphic operations have been affected by this update.

You realise you need to buy the Google License to use this feature?. The gradient you get will be a simulation of the real gradient. However you can elect to ride it as if the gradient was more or less using the Power Factor setting. You have an overhead 'map' view, and then the up/down arrows on th...

Re: Tacx turbo trainer tyre psi

Bike tyres (and car tyres) have their recommended minimum and maximum pressures marked on the sidewall. You want to be running close to the maximum (perhaps 5-10psi below this).

Re: Tacx turbo trainer tyre psi

What sort of pump are you using?. Your tyre will have on the side it's recommended minimum and maximum pressures. Typically a 700C tyre will have something like 100psi min 140psi max. However something like a standard 26" road tyre will only want perhaps 60psi. You should be inflating to about 15psi...

Re: New bike, no more NEO

Well done.

I suspect Tacx get kit like this made 'in batches', and don''t re-order till they run out. Result a fairly long period when they can't supply, and you are dependant an what is in the 'supply chain' already. Great news that a local shop had it!. Even better news that you got a discount. :)

Only because I had issues getting it to work with the Neo initially (found it doesn't want to talk to the Neo if the Neo has already bee...
