Re: Fortius TTS3 Training programs

On other thread there is link to tool which allows you to use text editor to create file which can be exported as tacx workout. Also there is link to sufferfest workout excel file which can be exported for tacx.

Re: The noise from my Fortius Brake roller is caused by

Steel sleeve on the roller is loose. It is very difficult to see by untrained eye those small cracks between steel sleeve holes and PU tabs.

Can be fixed with glue fix described on this thread. I have used two component epoxy glue on my own Flow.

Re: i-Flow Brake does not reduce resistance always

Hi, The next day I had reached 4.16. super exited that the problem would be fixed I tried it but still... way harder resistance than I would expect on flat ground and way lower speed and watts than I would expect and then after a few minutes it suddenly goes much easier. What speed and power level ...

Re: i-Flow Brake does not reduce resistance always

In old days there used to be TacxTestApplication.exe which would allow test to check buttons on interface, control resistance and also show speed and cadence. I have one which is dated on year 2007...

Re: i-Flow Brake does not reduce resistance always

Understood everything, I have to find a RJ11/RJ11 connector :) If signal is good and brake not releasing, what should be defective ? The circuit board on the brake is simple, but contains some diodes, some may be defective ? Thank you for your help ;) First thing is to check solder points (preferra...

Re: i-Flow Brake does not reduce resistance always

Baby blue is PWM (pin3)
Yellow is AC power / sync.

During positive AC cycle electromagnets are generating opposite polarity magnet field. This will reduce load generated by eddy currents. PWM during negative AC cycle will enforce magnetic field and therefore increase brake load.

Re: i-Flow Brake does not reduce resistance always

Pin-out between brake and handlebar controller (or USB controller) is: 1 Cadence signal to computer (one pulse per crank revolution) 2 GND/Common 3 PWM control signal to brake 4 AC power / synchronization signal to computer 6 Speed signal to computer (Three pulses per brake axle revolution, if I rem...

Re: The noise from my Fortius Brake roller is caused by

I'm not convinced about endurance of your screws down to axle method. It is actually very small amount of play which is required to enable the noise. Good thing with simple epoxy fix is, it can be done again. I have done this fix couple years ago, last spring I noticed small noise level increase and...

Re: iFlow electro brake not calibrating

As the software recognizes head unit by showing green check I would say it is hardware problem.
Check connectors from both ends and also the cable that it is ok, no nicks on the cable.

Also check that T1603 includes magnet. From this from I have read that some times the magnet has been missing from this plastic holder.

If I understood correctly your description, then items you need should be available. http://www.athleteshop.nl/media/catalog/product/cache/68/image/1200x/040ec09b1e35df139433887a97daa66f/T/H/THV035628.jpg At least one shop in Europe seems to sell these parts as a kit http://www.athleteshop.nl/tacx-m...

Re: i-Flow Brake does not reduce resistance always

To me this sounds like contact problem between brake and head unit. (i-)Flow brake have basic resistance and head unit then loosens or tightens resistance with electro-magnets. If connection between brake and head unit fails the resistance is just basic resistance. Connection problem might be inside...

Re: Advice needed training Alpe d'Huez

You can make good workout with Flow targeting to Alpe d'Huez. My opinion is that target power and cadence are important, not the speed. Lets take normal compact gearing of road bike. 50/34 on front and 12-27 at rear. You can get speed 31,5km/h speed with 60rpm cadence on 50-12 gearing. Flow should g...

Re: iflow break control external device

There are three signals coming from brake: Cadence, one pulse per crank rotation. Speed, three pulses per brake axle rotation. Mains voltage AC via transformer, used to synchronize resistance control. There is once PWM control from head unit to brake. This is synchronized to mains voltage. Without a...
