Re: Another Genius brake fuse going

Hopefully the surge protector allows a current to flow through backwards, as thats how the Genius dissipates the energy, by backfeeding into the mains.

Re: Bushido - lowest power 85-90W with 90rpm?

Your cadence is not material, its the wheel speed that is important, because the trainer cannot tell what gear you are in, its basically measuring the wheel speed. The graphic on the specs page ( http://www.tacx.com/en/products/trainers/bushido#tab_2) shows that you should be able to see down to abo...

Re: Tweaking Bushio setup for climbing in RLVs with powermet

You are probably correct on the accuracy, I think power tap claims +/- 2% that under the best of conditions. My point is that trying to predict real world climbing times is subject to far too many variables to reliably predict. Tacx does try to predict the time to the end of a route, but thats simpl...

Note that that is inside of the head unit, cleaning the outside will do nothing.

Re: Fortius Imagic Powerback replacement unit

I am surprised that Oschner did not reply, they have a pretty good reputation and I found them to be very helpful. The other route is to contact either your LBS or one of the internet sellers ( I used Licktons) since you already know the part you need and see f they can order it. Goos Luck. One of t...

Sounds like you are losing connection - are you using the extension cable? Then there are endless threads about which ant+ stick to use, and so on.

Re: Tweaking Bushio setup for climbing in RLVs with powermet

At a 4% error your are operating so far within the errors and variance in the system that its meaningless. You are trying to achieve accuracy that does not exist in the real world. For example, are you never going to sit up or shift your position while climbing for over and hour and a half? There go...

Re: Problem with genius interface

Sounds like you got sweat into the head unit. There has been some indication that you can open the head units and rinse them with distilled water, but I would not want to recommend that, so you would be on your own with that.

Re: Information on TTS4

Last night while I was waiting for TTS 4.6 to download/install, I used TTS 3.12 for my RLV training session. Even though TTS 3 works as its supposed to, I had forgotten how much more I like TTS 4 display layouts and layout options. Even though the layouts are not perfect, they really are better than...

Re: No green LED on T1904 control unit

When my lead from the powerback box to the head unit on a Fortius was bad I had no green light. But as I recall, there was no way to tell which component was bad, so I got both a powerback and a cable from the service center and sent the powerback back to them, along with the bad cable

Re: Gear ratios

Those are just suggested gearings, they do not apply to any specific rider as the programmer has no idea of what kind of rider you are or what shape you are in. Just think of them as guidelines, so that a small x 15 is a fairly low gear as it would be on the outboard side of the rear cog and on the ...

Or you (well the head unit) may be picking up some interference from a laptop power supply of electric motor in the vicinity of the head unit.

Re: Fortius Imagic Powerback replacement unit

I would suggest you contact Oschner as they are one of the two US distributors and handle the parts, or have you bike shop contact them. Also, you should write to support@tacx.nl to get the answer directly from Tacx, rather than relying on this user forum. Address: UNITED STATES Ochsner Internationa...

You should also make sure that your weight is entered accurately. While on levels the weight effect is small, the effect on slopes is huge. If you think that it's too easy to ride up hills you can increase your weight to make it feel better. I found that when I used my true weight of 235 lbs, the Fo...

I also had good response from Oschener when I got my Fortius unit a three years ago. I had a bad cable, took a bit to ferret out the issue but Rudy at Oschner was good to work with.

I am in the US also
