Re: Heart rate training algorithm.

I tried heart rate-based training in the old Fortius Software fifteen years ago and then in the Tacx Trainer Software, made the very same observations as you do now for the Cycling App, and gave up. The feedback loop in the algorithm doesn‘t wait long enough for one‘s heart‘s reaction and therefore ...

Re: TDA does not export elevation data

Oh, I was thinking more about virtual everesting or other climbing challenges. If Tacx Clouds reports correct or at least nice-looking altitude/ascent numbers and another program reports SRTM/Landsat-derived numbers, things get skewed.

Re: TDA does not export elevation data

I think Strava tries to become something like a sports-centered FB. Maybe you‘re ahead of time in mainly using it that way, or I‘m behind time :D One more point, though. If dfferent trainer programs report different altitude/ascent data to Strava for the same GPS paths, virtual competition will get ...

Re: TDA does not export elevation data

The whole point of Strava is to see share & log the rides you have done, I beg to disagree here. I think the whole point of Strava is to compete, both in real life and virtually. Strava well recognised that it‘s important to compete on equal footing and therefore keep real life and virtual rides we...

Re: TDA does not export elevation data

Depends on how much work you want to invest. There are some rather precise digital elevation models available at a cost, down to 10 m resolution. Export the .tcx to a program that can combine data from different sources - the desktop version of Sporttracks can -, export .gpx to a program that can ad...

Re: TDA does not export elevation data

Because that would put Phil‘s meticulous editing work to produce perfect grade data for his RLVs into the hands of his competitors for zero to almost no money.

Re: TDA does not export elevation data

Exporting to TCX has nothing to do with Strava, I presume. What I don't understand, is why Tacx does not simply add the recorded elevation data already in their system to that TCX file downloaded directly to your local machine? That would make it possible to upload it to Endomondo or any other serv...

Re: TDA does not export elevation data

That is why you need to add the elevation data in another program. Strava never used elevation data that were automatically uploaded from any device that didn’t have a barometric altimeter. They added their elevation model data instead if the device was non-barometric. Therefore I believe Tacx never...

Re: TDA does not export elevation data

You can try to export from the Tacx Cloud as .tcx, import to (probably any) training data program but Strava (ie, training focus, not GPS/mapping focus), apply its „elevation correction“ tool (if needed, change ride type to „street“, „outdoor“ or whatever), export and import to Strava. Not 100.00 % ...

Re: Ride did not upload

Aye. I nevertheless think the developers tried to make sure the buffered data are deleted only after the cloud confirmed „upload ok“. Let‘s see what happens here.

Re: Ride did not upload

I had this discussion with the developers (Lunatix) earlier in betatesting. He was adamant that no ride data are lost between TDA and the Cloud, and indeed none were lost for me. So I believe Support will be able to sort this.

Re: Ride did not upload

The ride will be stored in your Tacx Cloud account and then exported to Strava from there. Can you find it in your Cloud account or did that upload fail, too? The data are indeed stored locally in some proprietary format until they are uploaded to the Cloud. Re-starting TDA may help, but I think you...

Re: Fitness Tracker for TTS4

I don‘t think there is a Fitness Tracker that directly shares data with TTS. You can export training data from TTS in .gpx format and import them into (probably) any training program that you use for saving your fitness tracker data, or even automatically if you use Strava or Training Peaks. If you ...

Würde ich mal support@tacx.com schreiben. 4.22.7 könnte nicht rundum gelungen sein, wenn man hier so mitliest. (Bin zu TDA gewechselt.)

Is it possible now to connect one BT sensor to multiple receivers? Wondering whether having the HR strap connected to the Garmin via BT prevents its connection to TDA.
