Bluetooth is a lot more reliable than ANT....
It is not. Depends totally on individual environment. There are numerous reports online for and against. As for real representative stats - nobody ever published it.

Re: TTS4 General information

A GTX980 is not a 4K card. The first official announced 4K video cards are GTX 1000 series (1050 , 1060, 1070 and 1080) The 1050 is cheaper and worse than the 980 but does a better job on 4K resolution. And it's a lot worse on 1080P Baloney. One of the cards I have is even lower end GTX 960, 2GB ve...

Re: TTS4 General information

It's possible the 4K TV might have something to do with the refresh rate. I never noticed any hesitation until I added the 4K TV. If I still had a 1080p I would try it just to be sure but like I said I never noticed this before. I have a 1920 x 1200 monitor I could try but I would have to wait unti...

Re: ANT+ genius compatibility

The ANT+ developer (Dynastream) needs to develop a driver for UWP (development environment for Microsoft, which Tacx Desktop app is using), Dynastream does not need/have to develop anything. They've already developed driver for Windows that is perfectly usable from desktop applications. The guilty ...

...With the high quality video hardware I have Tacx's VR is the best, it blows Zwift out of the water. I really hate to see that go away. Software technical quality aside I personally find VR part of TTS more visually appealing then Zwift. Zwift however is not about visual quality / training / raci...

Nice idea, that polar graph thingy but can anybody actually read anything useful from it? I understand the concept of how it suppose to work but I can't see any define lines to work with. I could not get an hourglass or oval or anything defining my cadence. Just my experience with it so far. Or may...

Re: Tacx genius - fantasy watts

Trainer/firmware/software combo are using the same/similar formulas as those online calculators for their power/resistance calculation. Must use. I suggest checking it out first. And I suggest better understanding of a subject. They can convert formulas to internal tables instead for better efficie...

Re: Tacx genius - fantasy watts

I'm talking about a simple primary evaluation that does not require expensive equipment. And I do not see anything super-funny here. Trainer/firmware/software combo are using the same/similar formulas as those online calculators for their power/resistance calculation. If you drill down those formul...

Re: Tacx genius - fantasy watts

For a simple evaluation of the correctness of the power measurement, a power meter is not required. Use the bike calculator . A simple solution: set the slope to 0% and maintain a speed of 30 km/h. What power is transmitted from Genius? LOL. Trainer can transmit absolutely legit power while the rea...

Re: Tacx genius - fantasy watts

In order to measure power you need power meter. It is either part of the trainer/software combo as in your case and may be inaccurate or the real one. If you do not want to buy one invite friend with the power meter for visit. Otherwise are no miracles here.

...I may be wrong but I got the impression that was specific to Wahoo apps. As there is not yet an ANT+ profile for gradient.. You are wrong. heir newest trainer is fully aware of that climbing contraption and translates road grade received through ANT FE-C to whatever private protocol they're using

Increasing strength and longevity metal components do, keeping the costs they do not. Quality metal costs small fortune.

Re: Road feel at the front

I agree with about the Wahoo Climb in its current form, but I can see considerable utility for such peripherals down the road should training apps incorporate the ability to automatically regulate the angle to coincide with that of the simulated terrain. It is already there. Applications report roa...

Re: Road feel at the front

Based on the recent release of the Wahoo Kickr Climb I would guess they've at least thought about it if it's not already in development. The tech in this area is moving quite fast now. Assuming it is profitable proposition at all. In case of Neo it was just a firmware update work to introduce the f...

How does the Lynx VR compare to Tacx Neo according "real road feeling" and steep ascents? It is a shame that there a no objective reviews of the Lynx VR written by GP Lama or Dc rainmaker or another "authority". Why is that the case? Looking at the specs, it looks very promising. Re: New Tacx Neo first impressions

They are already calculating revs and power, which implies that they have torque. When you derive the torque from electrical values (and that is what Tacx does) it is not very accurate and delayed. How often they update rev values is another question. Their stuff works for average values but if you...
