tire speed would be off (from the computer) if not measured accurately. Not 2-3 times, but it woudl be different.

Make sure your tire size is set up correctly in the program. Realize that the I-magic can only produce resistance up to what the typical rider experiences around 4-5% grade. Therefore a 10% grade will still feel like a 4-5% grade and so in theory, you could continue to use the same gearing as you wo...

Tony, go to Ergotools.net, download the program and you an convert GPS or Computrainer files if you like into catalyst programs. You can ride a VR course like you could create with CT, but at least you can ride routes again (after the demise of ownsports).

...just dreaming... : The chassis of the E-motion roller, The Fortius motorbrake but without choppiness and speed limit, The fun of the RLV and VR, The map editor of the Computrainer, The precision of the SRM , The catalyst ease of use for editing workouts. 8) Corrected I will not say where the inf...

Thanks for all of your work with this! Yes, I agree that 32 is a much better option, not because I want to be able to go downhill, but simply because I would like to be able to do a flat time trial with no jerkiness. Would be nice to be able to get a non-jerky sprint in the upper thirties, or low 40...

I was going to say, you could send the unit on to me, and I would run it against my SRM to see if there are differences. :)

I am also in NJ, and so if you need any help let me know. As for the computrainer courses, yes, you can transfer them to the tacx, but only for catalyst. Still, it gives you an idea of the course. Tony, I am willing to give it a try again, but everytime I go on the trainer, I check multiplayer, and ...

I’m new to this forum and I just purchased the cosmos. I must say I am pretty disappointed. I have been trying to do watt based intervals...

I have the same problem. I have looked through the boards, and the closest I can come is that my Video card is not adequate. I have a bit of trouble with that explanation however, as I am using the same laptop that I used before the 'upgrades' and the rider was always there on earlier versions. So, ...

I have recently discovered that my riders no longer exist as well. I tried the shadow fix, to no avail and I am guessing that I now have a video card problem? My question is this. The motoring function takes the place of a flywheel. Without that, the only momentum the system has is the spinning back wheel, which isn't a lot. If you were to stop pedalling while riding fast without the motor making you freewheel, the back wheel would stop very quickly. So say you're hammering ...

Sorry Phil. I probably was not clear. I don't mind the fortius or I magic virtual speed on the downhills. Downhill stuff is not really relevant to me. I will say that I like the feel of the imagic better on downhills because of the smooth resistance and the fact that I can crank it up to 350 watts a...
